Disney+ has started carrying videos from kids' YouTube channels too, in a section called the Creators Collection. Disney+ doesn't let you block a show by name the way Netflix does, so the tools you've got are the age rating on your kid's profile and making it a Kids profile.

What changed

In September 2025 Disney+ added the Creators Collection, videos from kids' YouTube creators that come through a company called Pocket.watch, which works with channels like Ryan's World. They sit right next to Disney's own shows, on the same app your kid already uses.

Why this matters for your kid

A lot of parents picked Disney+ because it felt like a safe place to leave it on. Creator videos are made the way YouTube videos are made, to keep kids watching the next one, so it's worth knowing they're in there now and checking what shows up on your kid's profile.

What you can set on Disney+

Disney+ doesn't have a list where you block one show. Each profile has its own content rating, so set your kid's to what fits their age. You can also make it a Kids profile, which Disney+ now calls Junior Mode in its settings. A Kids profile only shows titles made for all ages, with no ads, and you can turn on Kid-Proof Exit so they have to get past a little challenge to leave it. On other profiles you can turn off titles without a rating, like live sports and news, and you can put a PIN on your own profile so they can't switch over. You change all of this in the Disney+ phone app or on the website, not on the TV.

What I'd set up

For a younger kid I'd make it a Kids profile and then scroll through it once myself to see what's in there, because Disney+ doesn't say whether the creator videos stay out of a Kids profile. If creator videos still show up on their profile, Disney+ won't let you take out just that one show, so it comes down to the rule in your house about what they watch on it.
