The Digital Childhood™
Use it inside ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini
You can get Chelsea's scripts, the explainers and the pacts without opening the app, from the assistant you already use. Ask in your own words, and it hands you her exact words with a link. No sign-in, and nothing about you or your kid is collected.
What you can ask for
- What to say. "My 11 year old says everyone has Snapchat. What do I say?" You get the script, step by step, including what to say when they push back.
- How an app really works. "How does Roblox actually work and what should I watch for?" The explainer, in plain words.
- Where Chelsea stands. "What does Chelsea think about a smartwatch?" Her answer, from her house, never a rule for yours.
- A Family Pact. "We need house rules about phones at dinner and devices in bedrooms." You pick the rules and get a link that opens the pact with them already ticked, ready to sign.
- A Friend Group Pact. "Help me get the other parents on the same page about phones." You get a message to send the other parents and a link that opens the pact with the agreements you chose.
- Questions for the school. "What should I ask my kid's school about Chromebooks and AI?"
- Something to do instead. "Give me an offline idea for a bored 8 year old tonight."
In ChatGPT
Type @The Digital Childhood at the start of your message, or find it under Apps in the sidebar and tap Connect once. From then on ChatGPT can bring it in on its own when you ask about a phone, an app, a game or AI.
The app is in review at OpenAI. Until it's listed, it can be added in ChatGPT's developer mode with the address below.

For IT admins and reviewers
The connector is a remote MCP server over streamable HTTP, read only, with no authentication because it holds nothing private: every tool returns content from thedigitalchildhood.com that is already free on the website. Eleven tools, every one marked read only and non-destructive: find_script, get_script, find_explainer, get_explainer, start_friend_pact, draft_friend_pact, start_family_pact, draft_family_pact, school_questions, where_i_stand and offline_activity.
No tool takes a name, an age, an email address or anything that identifies a person. The one free text input (what the kid said, or the app you're asking about) is used to find the matching script or explainer and then dropped. Nothing is written to a database, a file or an email, and nothing is logged beyond a per address request count to stop abuse and a daily tally of how many times each tool was used, with nothing about who used it or what was asked. The links in a pact draft carry only the keys of the rules you chose; the website ignores anything else in the link. Details are in the privacy policy.
