Here’s one of them
Read a whole one before you buy anything.
When your kid says
“Everyone else has Snapchat.”
Start with how they're feeling
I know that saying no to Snapchat means you hear about things after everybody else does, and sometimes you don't hear about them at all. I understand that's very much a real feeling, and being left out never feels good. I get it.
Give them a way in
I'm not saying you'll never have it, it's just not the right thing for you right now, and I'll tell you when that changes. In the meantime, let's make sure you can reach your friends without it. Pick a few of them and we'll add them to your Tin Can contacts, or put their numbers in your flip phone if you have one, so you can call them whenever you want. You can have them over on the weekend too.

Questions
Before you buy.

Do I need to download an app?
No. You read them on thedigitalchildhood.com on your phone, the same place the free ones are.

They’re the conversations I’ve had with my own two kids. Every parent has a different relationship with their child, so take whatever feels most natural to you and adjust it to how you’d normally say it to your kid.
What if I get a new phone?
Sign in with the same email and they’re all there.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If it isn’t what you needed, email hello@thedigitalchildhood.com, or just reply to your receipt, within 14 days and I’ll refund you.
