What it means
A second account, often Instagram or Snapchat, used for low-stakes posting that friends can see but main-feed followers cannot. Like a finsta but used for memes, jokes, and feelings rather than secrets. Common in middle school and up.
How to bring it up with your kid
"I have heard the term spam account. Do you have one or do your friends? I am less interested in what is on it than I am in keeping the line of communication open." Soft, no demand.
