What it means
Snapchat's list of people it suggests your kid add (Snapchat calls it Find Friends now), pulled from friends of friends and phone contacts. That's how a lot of strangers end up on a kid's friend list. Kids can switch that off in Snapchat's privacy settings so they don't get suggested to people they don't know.
How to bring it up with your kid
"How many people on your Snapchat have you actually met?" I'd go through the list with them. Anyone they don't know in real life can come off, and it's a lot easier to do together.
