What it means
Obsessively trying to perfect how you look, ranging from skincare routines all the way to extreme surgical content, and it has become enormous in teen boy spaces especially. At its mildest it is self-care, and at its worst it drives body dysmorphia and serious mental health issues.
How to bring it up with your kid
"I want to ask you something, have you come across looksmaxxing content? What do you think about it?" If your teen is watching this, it's important to understand what they're absorbing about their own appearance and worth.
