What it means
A label for a child who has spent most of their early years with a tablet or phone in hand. People use it as a joke and seriously, and there’s some judgment of the parents in it, along with a real worry about what all that time on a device is doing to this generation of kids. Tweens use it to describe younger siblings.
How to bring it up with your kid
"Some kids your age call little kids iPad kids. What do you think that means? Is it fair?" It's a nice way to hear what they think about their own device habits without putting them on the spot.
