Gacha

Explained for parents by The Digital Childhood.

What it means

A game where you spend coins or gems to "pull" a random character or item, like a slot machine. Genshin Impact and a lot of Roblox games work this way. The rare ones have tiny odds, so kids keep spending to get them.

How to bring it up with your kid

"What are the odds of getting the one you want? Does the game tell you?" Look them up together. Most kids are shocked when they see how low they are.
