What it means

Posting someone's real name, address, school or phone number online so other people can find them or harass them. It often happens after a fight in a game or a group chat gets out of hand, and it's a lot easier when a kid's school or town is right there in their bio.

How to bring it up with your kid

"What's in your bio right now? Your school, your town, your last name?" I'd look at it together. The less a stranger can piece together about where they live, the better, and it takes two minutes to fix.
