What it means
AI-generated images or videos that make it look like someone said or did something they never did. More and more, they’re used to make fake explicit pictures of real people, including classmates, and they’re being used to bully and harass teens at school right now.
How to bring it up with your kid
"Have you heard of kids making fake pictures of people at school? If anybody ever makes a fake picture of you or someone else, I need you to tell me right away. It's not your fault, and you're not in trouble." I'd have this one with every kid, before it ever happens.
