What it means
Finished, done for, ruined. "If my mum sees this I'm cooked." Used to describe being in trouble, failing, or being beyond help in a situation. Dramatic but almost always used humorously.
How to bring it up with your kid
No real concern. Normal slang. If they say "I'm cooked" about a test, ask what happened. It's an opening, not a crisis.
