Teen slang, explained for parents.
What it means
The coded language kids use to avoid social media moderation filters. "Unalive" instead of suicide, "le dollar bean" instead of lesbian, "seggs" instead of sex, "PDF file" instead of pedophile. The fact that kids have developed parallel vocabulary tells you the kinds of topics they are discussing online without parents being able to search for them.
How to bring it up with your kid
"I learned that kids use code words online so apps do not flag posts. I am not going to memorize a list. I just want you to know that with me, you can use the real words. If something is heavy or scary or confusing, the real word will land safer with me than the code one."
