AI Slop

Explained for parents by The Digital Childhood.

What it means

Kids' name for the flood of cheap, weird AI videos and pictures in their feeds, like cats cooking dinner or fake news clips. Some of it is funny, and a lot of it is made just to rack up views.

How to bring it up with your kid

"How can you tell when a video is AI slop?" Let them show you. They're often better at spotting it than we are, and it's a good way to talk about how much of the feed is made up.
